So far my day is going well. Both kids had friends sleep over last night. We have two adopted children. We are in our sixties. The kids are 12 and 14 years old. The twelve year old is a girl named Brianna, and the fourteen year old is a boy named Ryan. Right now they are eating us out of house and home. When we let them have friends over it’s even worse. Now there is no food in the house. This morning they all got up and raided the cupboard and refrigerator. So I spent my morning shopping for groceries. I try to buy a balance of junk food and healthy food. I mean what kid can go without potato chips and candy for any length of time without going off the rails? I’m sure we are too indulgent, but what are kids for? They keep us young and we love them dearly. What would we do without them? We’d probably be traveling the world, but I’m sure we’d be bored with each other by now. So we shop and indulge them instead. This has been a good day.
