My Daughter and her “Little Sister”

My daughter has been asking for a little sister since she could talk. Her mother has two sisters, and she wants to be like mom, of course! We haven’t had another child yet, and so now that she’s four, she has decided that she is going to take matters into her own hands. She found a zucchini in her grandmother’s garden and has named it “Lexi,” and it’s her little sister. She carries it around with her all over the house. They watch movies together, read books together, and all sorts of things. It sounds a little weird, but trust me, it is adorable, and she loves it. It encourages imagination, and who can argue with that?
